Investment Strategy

RED is the first venture capital firm investing in high-growth technology companies founded or co-founded by female entrepreneurs across Europe and Israel with the objective of accelerating their growth in global markets. RED’s unique combination of geographic presence and market expertise enables the exchange of technology, funding and business opportunities between Israeli and European companies, opening opportunities for Israeli companies to enter the European, U.S, and Latin American markets, while providing European and other foreign companies access to Israeli technology.

RED invests in companies that have been previously funded, have a strong technological component and a sustainable competitive advantage. RED has developed a thorough investment thesis focusing on opportunities in sectors that are undergoing a deep transformation cycle and in which RED can add significant value, such as Cybersecurity, Agritech & Foodtech, Digital Health, AI & SaaS-based solutions, and Smart Mobility.

RED executes its firm’s primary investment strategy through its venture capital fund RED Ventures Fund I with a target size of €50 million.

Additionally, on behalf of South Summit, the leading innovation platform which connects the most disruptive startups with worldwide investors and corporations, RED Capital Partners also co-manages South Summit fund (“SSF”). SSF is a venture capital fund investing in the most attractive startups that apply to the South Summit events every year.

Our key focus is to add value to portfolio companies

  • RED assumes the role of lead, co-lead or sole investor in all investment rounds with equity tickets of up to €10 million from RED Ventures Fund I, plus the possibility to channel additional capital with co-investments from its LPs.
  • RED has a “company builder” approach dedicating resources and bringing a hands-on strategy to develop its portfolio companies into global leaders.
  • RED holds board seats in its portfolio companies working closely with the CXOs on business development projects, such as business model definition, product-market fit, go-to-market strategies and identification and reach out to potential customers and partners in Europe, United States, Latin America and Asia.
  • RED’s team has more than 60+ years of accumulated experience in building companies and creating value. The team has a broad sector expertise, an excellent reputation and a global network of top-level contacts.
  • The high level of seniority and international experience of RED’s investment team, advisory board and expert panel -composed of seasoned professional investors, serial entrepreneurs and first-class corporate professionals- contribute in a unique way to the global growth strategy of RED's portfolio companies.
  • With offices in Madrid, Barcelona and Tel Aviv, RED has local presence and market-leading networks in Spain/Europe and Israel. RED also has a privileged position and network in the Latin American market especially in Mexico, Colombia and Brazil.
  • RED supports its portfolio companies through all growth stages bringing in financing resources from its funds, as well as from the network of its partners and investors. By doing so, the managers of RED's portfolio companies can fully focus on business development, rather than on raising follow-on financing rounds.
  • RED is a sparring partner with a long-term investment horizon and without a pre-defined divestment timing. RED exits its investees only when they achieve performance objectives previously outlined between the founders and RED.
